The door
Do I need cell signal at the coop?
Yes, at least one bar on your phone while you stand at the coop.
How is it powered?
By the solar kit in the box, or by plugging into USB-C.
Will it fit my coop?
It fits doorway openings 8.2 inches wide by 9.6 inches tall or larger. Measure the opening your chickens use, not the whole door.
How does it know sunrise and sunset?
You tell it where your coop is, and it calculates both times for that spot every day. You choose how long after sunset it waits before closing. Or set your own times.
What if something’s in the way?
It stops, and then it tells you.
What if I’m at the coop without my phone?
Press the button on the unit.

Can it watch my other coop doors?
Yes, up to five more: the people door, egg door or run gate. One people door sensor is included, and extras are TBD. Order them anytime.
What alerts will I get?
A push notification when a door opens or closes, when the chicken door is still open after sunset, and when it jams. Alerts run 24/7, with one on/off switch.
What phones and computers does it work with?
Android, iPhone, Mac and Windows. It runs in your web browser, so there’s nothing to download from an app store. On iPhone, add it to your Home Screen to get alerts.
Service
What does the service cover?
It’s the door’s own cell plan and the app that connects it to your phone: remote open and close, schedules and alerts. It’s TBD monthly or annually, and you choose which when your door ships. Annual is about 2 months free and runs to the end of the paid year (refund policy).
What happens if I cancel?
The door keeps opening and closing on its own, and the button still works. Remote control, alerts, door monitoring and updates stop.
How long will the service run?
We commit to at least two years after your door ships. That’s a minimum, not an end date.
Ordering
Is the $50 deposit really refundable?
Yes, any time before your door ships. If we haven’t emailed you a ship date by December 31, 2026, we refund it automatically.
When will my door ship?
The first batch ships Q1 2027. We charge the balance (TBD plus shipping and tax) before it ships, and your service starts when it ships.
What if it doesn’t work out?
Return it within 30 days of delivery for a full hardware refund. See our refund policy.
Is checkout secure?
Yes. You pay on Square’s checkout page, and we never see your card number.
