The Mother Hen™ Difference — In One Sentence

Mother Hen™ is a monitor-only coop system that watches the automatic chicken door you already own, every opening that matters — doors, windows, nest box lids, hatches, run gates — and coop temperature — and delivers alerts over three independent paths so failures aren’t silent.

Built From Real-World Loss

Mother Hen exists because someone we know lost their flock to a failed coop door. The full story is in About.

Designed to fail loudly, not silently

Three alert paths. A coop-side indicator on the Controller (offline backup), an indoor Egg beacon (cloud-pushed), and SMS to your phone (also cloud-pushed). The coop indicator catches events the Controller can see on its own; the Egg and SMS share the cellular uplink. Optional daily SMS confirmations let you spot a quiet system before silence becomes a missing alert.

Cloud Brain, Local Heart

Unique Architecture: Amazon Web Services (AWS) does the thinking (sunrise math, alert logic, data trends). Hardware just listens and shouts. Smart where it matters. Simple where it counts.

Bottom Line: It’s Not About Features — It’s About Trust

That’s what makes Mother Hen™ different.
